The Public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony for the new veterans’ banners that have been installed on the light poles in downtown Plymouth and River Park Square. The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 27th at 3:30 pm in River Park Square.
Helen Johnson, a member of the Tippecanoe-Wythougan Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and Service to Veterans Chairman headed up the project which will place more than 30 banners in the downtown area just in time for the Memorial Day Holiday.
The Hometown Heroes Banners feature local veterans in their uniform with information such as the branch of service, rank, and years in the military. There was an application process and a fee of $125 for each banner.
