On Saturday, May 14, at approximately 3:00 A.M the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center was notified of a male who was possibly intoxicated driving a vehicle in the area of 12th Road and the west county line.

Deputy Templeman with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area and located the vehicle. He conducted a stop on the vehicle and eventually determined the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Michael Woodruff of Warsaw to be intoxicated.

Woodruff was transported to the Plymouth ER for a chemical test and was later transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked and lodged for Operating a motor vehicle While Intoxicated with a prior conviction and Operating a motor vehicle While Intoxicated with a BAC above .15.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
