ARGOS — Argos watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-2 loss to South Central on Thursday.
The Dragons struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing South Central, giving up 12 runs.
South Central got things moving in the first inning. South Central scored on a stolen base during Glisic’s at-bat. Then Glisic singled.
South Central scored three runs in the sixth inning.
Kole Burkholder was on the hill for Argos. The right-hander surrendered nine runs on ten hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Bryce Beerwart threw one inning in relief.
Kurt Johnson led Argos with two hits in four at bats.
South Central collected 11 hits on the day. Glisic, Hanchar, and Ferrel each managed multiple hits for South Central. Glisic went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead South Central in hits. South Central tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Oehmen led the way with two.
