On Wednesday, May 11th at approximately 3:20 in the afternoon Officer Finn with the Plymouth Police Department was conducting routine traffic patrol in the area of South Michigan Street and Soice Street when he stopped a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

The vehicle was being driven by 32-year-old Aaron Chipman of Holloway Drive in Plymouth. After a brief investigation, Chipman was found to have an active warrant for his arrest in Marion County.

Mr. Chipman was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held for Marion County.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
