BREMEN – The Bremen Middle School girls track team dominated in a three-way meet with Culver and South Bend Career Academy. The Lady Lions had 12 first-place finishes out of 13 events.

Emma Kincaid set a new middle school record with a 1st place finish in the 400 and a time of 65.6 followed by another first place finish in the 200. Eliana Grubbs had three firsts (long jump, high jump, 100) with a new personal best in high jump of 4-6. This puts her ins second on Bremen Middle School’s Top 10 list, only one inch below the middle school record.  The Feathers sisters finished first and second in the 100 hurdles with a photo finish too close to call, earning them both a spot on Bremen’s Top 10 list. Sienna O’Connor managed to pull off a first in the 200 hurdles after a second place finish in the 400 right before. Also earning first place finishes were Brooklynn Byer in shot put, Avary Malcom in the 1600, Kate Kincaid in the 800, and both 400 and 1600 relay teams. Second place finishes included Teagan Feathers in high jump, Natalia Garcia in discus, Sara Sahlhoff in the 100 and 200, and Kinsey Greenwalt in the 200 hurdles. Kaylee Bate also had a great performance in the mile, taking 23 seconds off her personal best time to run a 7:36.

The Bremen boys team was also victorious. First place finishes for the Lions included Hunter Cannon in long jump and high jump, Logan Fredrickson in shot put and discus, Brayden Pearish in the 100 and 200, and the 400 relay team. Second place finishes include Brayden Pearish in long jump, Trae Brandys in high jump and the 800, Skyler Stine in the 100 and 200 hurdles, Hunter Cannon in the 100, and Jacob Douglas in the 200.
