MISHAWAKA – The Lady Pilgrims competed in the Princess Relays that included a field of two top-10 teams from Valparaiso and Chesterton. All of the events were relay scored with the exception of the 300m hurdles.

In the 4x800m relay, the quartet of Rylee Laird, Addie Kingston, Audrey Yadon and Sophie Wray turned in their best time of the season by 17 seconds as three of the four runners went 2:46 or under. The shuttle hurdle relay (Alexis Doll, Rilynn Ames, Sonya Joseph and Aumrie Heckaman) also had a fine showing. The sprint medley team of Bella Frid, Ames, Joseph and Amaya Ameling ran close to their predicted seed time in a strong field. In the 3200m relay, Laird and Caitrin Bradley ran hard in a stellar distance field. Bradley cut about a minute off of her PR in the race.

The 4×100 team of Amber Schrameyer, Arielle Ferman, Lena Jones and Sara Calix Moreno ran their season-best time and have trended well in their last two races. In the 300m hurdles, Heckaman ran an all-time PR and finished 5th in a very close race with another NLC rival from Mishawaka. The 4×200 relay squad of Calix, Summer South, Jones and Schrameyer navigated through chaos to run a season-best time and one position from scoring points. In the last running event, the 4×400 team assembled and battled hard as Ameling, South, Joseph and Heckman finished just outside scoring points for the team.

In the field events, Sydney Rice and Lexi Rose finished in 6th place in the discus. In the shot put, the duo of Rice and Lena Jones finished in a tie for 6th as well. In long jump, Jeanne Michely jumped for a PR and Summer South jumped 15-0 as the team finished in 9th place. In pole vault, Ferman tied her PR with a vault of 8-0. Finally, in the high jump Joy Everett notched her fourth PR of the season with a jump of 4-10. Her partner was Michely and they claimed a point with their 7th place finish.

Next up for the Lady Pilgrims is their final dual meet of the season against Warsaw on the road tonight. They will then travel to compete at the Goshen Relays this Saturday.
