LV places second
NEW CARLISLE – LaVille finished second at a three-way meet involving New Prairie and South Bend Riley Tuesday. A strong showing in the throwing events helped the Lancers squeak out a narrow win against host New Prairie, but it was not enough to defeat Riley.
Owen Smith finished with two first place finishes to lead the Lancers (200M dash, long jump). Erik Bedock and Lincoln Hulsey also contributed first place points. Bedock won the shot put while Hulsey beat his personal best with a 13-6 attempt in the pole vault. Several Lancers contributed second place finishes to the effort. The Lancers will hit the road again on Thursday to compete at South Central.
