The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade robotics team is preparing for a trip to the world competition in Dallas, Texas May third through the fifth.

As a chance to let the community see the results of their hard work, the students will be showcasing their talents by hosting a community demonstration of the robot they built to move on to the world competition.   The event is tonight, Wednesday, April 13th in the Lincoln Junior High School gym at 6:30.  Those attending should enter through door #12.

While there is no cost for the showcase event, the team is working on raising funds for the trip.  The total cost is $7,000 to get the team to Dallas along with housing and feeding the team.  A free-will donation will be accepted at the door.

Those attending the showcase will even have the opportunity to operate a robot at the event.

Part of the robotics team fundraising will include a Hacienda give-back night.   The Lincoln Junior High Robotics Team will be hosting the Hacienda night on Tuesday, April 19th.  They are also pre-selling gift cards if anyone is interested, and they can call the school at 574-936-3113 or stop in if they want more information.
