CULVER — Monday night saw the Lady Pilgrims even their record to 1-1 with an 18-6 win over Culver Community.
After a 7 run first inning, Culver fought back to make the score 8-6 Plymouth after three. Then the Plymouth bats exploded. Scoring 3 runs in the 4th and 7 runs in the 5th while holding Culver scoreless for the win.
Taya Wagner was the offensive star going 4 for 5 and knocking in 2 runs. The defense of the Lady Pilgrims held Culver to only 5 hits in the game.
The win is Plymouth’s first since 2019 a 7-5 win over LaVille and the first for Plymouth head coach John Johnson.
Plymouth plays at home tonight against Triton. The Varsity starts at 5 p.m. with the JV to follow.
