Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to Duke of Oil on North Michigan Street early Thursday morning in reference to a suspicious person in a vehicle.

Just before 1 a.m. Plymouth officers responded and conducted an investigation. When the investigation was complete 24-year-old Mia Morris of Elkhart was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, False Informing, and Resisting Law Enforcement.

Mia Morris was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond. Mia Morris also has an outstanding warrant through Elkhart County and was held with NO BOND on the Elkhart warrant. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
