Officers from the Plymouth Police Department responded to the Comfort Suites for an intoxicated male Sunday night at about 10:30. The issue was a non-guest causing problems with guests and the hotel staff.

Michael Eury, 31, of Claremont, NC was arrested for public intoxication after striking one officer. During the arrest process, he physically resisted and battered another officer.

Eury was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail after being cleared by the hospital.
