The Bowen Center in collaboration with Marshall County Community Corrections has been awarded a one-year $90,000.00 grant through the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Mental Health and Addiction.

The grant will be to employ a Criminal Justice Coordinator to serve as a liaison between the Bowen Center and local Criminal Justice Partners, tracking clients referred to Bowen, providing data, progress reports enduring timely communication to ensure the continuity of supervision and treatment to improve outcomes.

We are happy to announce the appointment of Thomas Kinnaird for the position. Thomas is a 4-year employee of the Bowen Center assuming his new position on March 29, 2022.  He is also a facilitator in Trauma-Informed training for ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Interface and Youth Mental Health First Aid.

The Criminal Justice Coordinator will also serve to assist in the creation of a local Overdose Fatality Review Team in Marshall County. This team will review information from overdose investigations to create initiatives for prevention, education, and access to resources.
