Thursday evening Plymouth Police responded to Mi Caminos Restaurant for the report of an auto theft.  Their quick response located the vehicle and the suspect. 

At 7:24 Officer Arnold responded Mi Caminos restaurant on North Michigan Street for a stolen vehicle. The victim was a Door Dash delivery driver, and his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot.

Using the delivery app the vehicle was tracked as it drove around the west side of Plymouth. Sergeant Deisch located the vehicle on State Road 17 and Pioneer Drive. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the parking lot of the Saint Joseph Hospital and the driver, James Watts was arrested. Mr. Watts was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail for Auto Theft.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
