Jon and Penny Kovatch own the property at 2500 Quince Road and Penny’s sister Susan Curtis applied to the Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals for a Variance of Use to allow a secondary residence on the property.

March 8th the County BZA heard the request to convert a 16 by 16 barn into a residence that will only be used about 10 weeks a year.  Susan Curtis is a traveling nurse and is only home for a week or two at a time.

Curtis told the BZA she has already checked with the County Health department about a septic and well permit.

There were no comments during the public hearing and the Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals approved the Variance of Use pending septic approval and that it only applies to Susan Curtis.  No one else can use the variance to live in the barn.
