The National Weather Service in North Webster has issued a “Winter Weather Advisory” for most of northern Indiana including Marshall County beginning at 6pm tonight and continuing until 10am on Saturday.

We can expect areas of blowing and drifting snow and additional snow accumulations of up to one inch.

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.   Blowing and drifting snow will result in snow covered roads, sharply reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions in open areas.

To be prepared and be up to date download the Marshall County Indiana APP from the APP Store to your smartphone or tablet. Stay informed about current conditions through local news sources and the National Weather Service. If you must go out, give yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination.  S-L-O-W down and adjust your following distance.  Clean snow from your windshield, head, and taillights. Keep your gas tank at least half full. Be aware of the possibility of black ice on bridges and overpasses.  Untreated roads and intersections will also make traveling hazardous.
