Here is the latest information regarding the Flood Warnings issued by the National Weather Service for both the Yellow River and the Tippecanoe River.

Additional area flooding will continue into next week as temperatures rise beginning on Sunday – Wednesday and additional rain is forecast for Tuesday.

A Flood Warning is now in effect from late tonight through Monday afternoon for the Yellow River.  The river is currently at 11.95 ft. and is expected to rise to 14.5 ft. (Moderate Flood Stage) by Saturday morning. Flood stage is 13 feet.  At 14 ft. the small trailer park near the Jefferson Street bridge begins to flood.  At 14.5 ft. the parking lot on E. Laporte Street begins to flood.

A Flood Warning is now in effect from Friday afternoon until further notice for the Tippecanoe River.  The river is currently at 12.85 ft. and rising.  Flood stage is 12 ft.  At 14 ft. some flooding begins to occur along Blackford drive in Tippecanoe

Flooding of low-lying areas will persist through the weekend.  Warming temperatures will cause the recent snow to melt and a strong storm system is forecast to bring additional rain to our area (no specifics at this time).

Roads closed or posted for high water by the Marshall County Highway are currently the same as yesterday afternoon’s list (see attached list).

Sand and sandbags are available at the old EMA Office located at 9515 King Road, Plymouth, which is just north of the Marshall County Highway Garage.  Individuals will need to bring their own shovel.
