The Plymouth Street Department has begun their annual Christmas tree recycling program.  City residents who had a real tree for Christmas can place their tree at the curb and city street department employees will pick-up the trees and grind them into mulch.

Trees should be placed at the curb and be free of ornaments, lights and the tree stand.  City employees will be circulating throughout the city for the next week or two as the weather permits gathering up the Christmas trees.

The City of Knox will be picking up disposed Christmas trees beginning this week.

Anyone who wishes to dispose of their natural Christmas tree may do so by putting it at the curb where they would normally put any brush in the summer months. Please be sure all ornaments and tinsel are removed.

You can also dispose of your tree in the Knox compost drop-off pile located behind City hall. The garbage contractors will not pick up disposed natural Christmas trees.
