Barbara Sue Flosenzier peacefully entered the arms of Jesus on New Year’s Eve. As fireworks sounded outside, nothing compared to the celebration Barb must have had in heaven.

She had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and leaned on him strongly in her final months. Barb was extremely blessed to be surrounded by many loved ones, both family and dear friends who supported, prayed and loved her dearly.

Barb was born on July 19, 1944, to Lodella (Powell) and Adolph Leininger. She graduated from Tyner High School in 1962 and from IU Bloomington in 1966 with a BS degree in elementary education and then a MS degree in 1973. She taught elementary school for two years with the South Bend School Corporation, two years with the Department of Defense in Babenhausen, Germany, a year with the Triton School Corporation, and 34 years with the John Glenn School Corporation.

On October 24, 1975, she married Dick Flosenzier, who passed away in January 2019. She spent the rest of her years in the Plymouth area. She and Dick spent many fun hours fishing Indiana water. She also enjoyed singing with Dick in duets, quartets and trios singing praises to the Lord. She enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, and baking for family and friends.

She is survived by two awesome stepchildren, Vance (Michelle) of Texas and Mindy (Ron) Welty of Elkhart; two sisters, Linda (Roger) Miller of Indianapolis and Beverly (Fred, Deceased) Church of Florida; a brother, Tom (Susan) Leininger of Elkhart; two sisters-in-law, Linda (Dick) Hartle of Argos and Jean Church of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at New Song Church, 1292 Baker Street, Plymouth, with Rev. Justin Chambers officiating. Friends are welcome for visitation prior to the start of the service in the church, from 10 a.m. – noon.
