While the State of Indiana Health Department COVID-19 map and dashboard shows many more counties moving from red to orange, Starke County and Pulaski County are red which indicates a very high community spread of COVID-19. Marshall County continues to remain orange with a high community spread. Currently there are 8 counties in Indiana that are red and 15 that are yellow. The remaining 69 counties are orange.

As of midnight October 12th, Marshall County had 30 new positive cases of the coronavirus bringing the county’s total positive cases to 7,739. No new deaths were reported, and the county’s total remains at 133. There were 49 individuals tested and the 7-day positivity rate of all tests in the county was 9.7% while the 7-day positivity rate of unique individuals in the county was 20.6%.
