Last week members of the Plymouth School Board conducted a public hearing on the proposed 2022 budget.  No one from the public spoke during the meeting on the budget requests.

Kandi Tinkey, Business Manager for the school corporation briefly reviewed the proposed budgets.  The School Board had a lengthy budget meeting last month where Tinkey reviewed the various budgets and requests.

The proposed budgets for next year included $600,000 in the Rainy-Day Fund, $5,415,523 for the Debt Services Fund, $9,008,469 in the Operations Fund and $22,291,216 for the Education Fund.

Tinkey said with COVID last year, the school didn’t put as many miles on the buses as anticipated, so they are only planning to purchase three buses in 2022 with the Bus Replacement Plan. They said they budgeted $315,000 for the buses.

Tinkey said the 2022 budget can be found on the Plymouth Community School Corporation website at www.plymouoth.k12.in.us.    She said the school board will adopt the 2022 budget at their meeting on October 5th
