The Indiana Department of Health announced Tuesday that 1,085 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings the state’s total to 767,409 Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.

To date, 13,552 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 15 from the previous day.

Here in Marshall County, we had 3 new positive cases of the coronavirus confirmed bringing the county’s total to 6,332 and no new deaths reported. There were 12 individuals tested and the 7-day positivity rate for all tests was 1.3% while the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals was 12.9%.

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To find a vaccination clinic near you, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.

As of Tuesday, a total of 2,930,718 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
