Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch visited Culver Saturday to speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony of The Paddocks. This affordable housing complex will provide much needed workforce housing for the Culver community. The Paddocks was one of the signature pieces in Culver’s Stellar program.

This 48-unit apartment complex has 32 units already rented with 25 of those families new to Culver with 22 students that will attend the local school system.

Both Crouch and Easterday Construction President Kevin Berger spoke about the need for workforce housing and the influence it can have on the local economy.

“I think we’re meeting the community goals we set out to fulfill,” said Berger. “We’re in no way solving all of Culver’s affordable housing needs, but we’ve made a dent.”

Joining Crouch and Berger at the Ribbon cutting were officials from Anthem, a partner in The Paddocks, and Bradley Corporation, who will be handling the property management.
