Lincoln Junior High School Athletic Coordinator Brody Shively is getting ready for another school year of athletics. As a way to get students and parents ready he released information for several fall sports.
For Lincoln Junior High student to be eligible to participate they will need a sports physical filled out by their doctor after April 30th. Sports participants also need to have filled out or updated their Final Forms. Students will also need to pay $5 for the Final Forms account. LJH can accept cash or check just make sure it has the student’s name is in the memo portion. The link for the Physical form and Final Forms is provided below.
Cheer Camp will take place at Lincoln Junior High July 19th thru the 23rd 5:30pm-7pm and Saturday 10am-12pm. Athletes must have their physicals on file and Final Forms updated to participate in the camp. Camp is for all fall and winter cheerleaders.
Cross Country at LJH will have a drive-up style sign up July 28th. Sign up will happen in the south parking lot of Lincoln Junior High 4pm-6pm. As parent’s pull up, they will visit each station and receive information. Athletes and parent’s will remain in their cars. Official practice will start Aug 2nd 3pm-5pm at the pavilion in the park next to the tennis courts.
Girls Volleyball for Lincoln Junior High athletes will have open gyms on 7/28 and 8/4 at the Centennial Sand Courts if weather permits from 4pm-6pm. Courts are located next to the community pool in Centennial Park. Practices on 7/30, 8/2,8/6, 8/9 will be at Lincoln from 4pm-6pm. Students must have a physical on file and Final Forms updated.
Football Equipment handout LJH will be on July 29th at 5:00 p.m. using door #13 behind the school. Athletes will need to have physicals completed before any equipment is issued. Official practices will begin Aug 2nd at PHS. Lincoln football practices will all be at PHS. Athlete’s will have a locker room where they can lock up their practice gear and personal items. Parents should plan to pick up their athlete at PHS on the northeast corner of the auxiliary gym.
Intramural Soccer will run September 7th through Oct 7th. Lincoln will have 3 practices a week, exact days will be announced at a later date, practices will consist of drills and inter-squad games behind Martins Supermarket.
Fall Sport Pictures will be on September 1st at Lincoln. All pictures will be taken at Lincoln. Look for order forms the week before pictures are taken.
