Last week the Plymouth Community School Board approved several requests from high school coaches for overnight and some out-of-state travel for teams. 

18 members of the Boys Basketball Team traveled to the Wisconsin Dells June 13th through the 16th.  This trip will give the boys the opportunity to play in a multi-day shoot-out.  Cost of the trip was $250 per player and covered the cost of the entry fee, hotel, waterpark and meals.  The coaching assistants served a chaperones.

17 seniors of the Boys Football Team will travel to Muskegon State Park in Muskegon, MI July 18th to the 20th for team-building activities, campfire talks and team meals.  The objective of the trip is to development of leadership skills and team bonding.  Chaperones for the trip are Coaches John Barron and Mike Kershner and Ted Brown Director of Safety and Security.  This no cost to players to attend the annual event. 

Also approved by the Plymouth School Board was the request of Coach Steve Hovermale to have 7 members of the Boys Freshmen Basketball Team attend the D-One Camp in Fort Wayne June 21st to the 23rd.  The event was held at Sportone Parkview Fieldhouse was to help the team bond together as a team and develop basketball skills individually and collectively.  The team stayed at the Marriott Suites.  No cost was listed for the players. 

The final approval will allow 20 to 25 Cross Country runners to travel to Brown County State Park July 20th to the 25th to attend the annual Cross Country camping trip.  Chaperones will be Coach Curtis Nordmann and Steve Hissong.  This experience will allow team members to run trails, offer team bonding along with beach time and games.
