The Marshall County Council has a busy agenda for their meeting Monday morning beginning at 9 a.m.  Their meeting is held in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building. 

Rhonda Ferguson from Marshall Superior Court III will request permission to hire an interim Court Reporter and Steven Buras, Director of the Plymouth Public Library will discuss their upcoming renovation project and seek approval of an ordinance approving an additional appropriation.  The request comes because the library board is not elected. 

Council members will hear from Katie McLear and Craig Parks from USI who will discuss the possibility of moving forward with the Veterans Parkway Extension project by funding the preliminary engineering with local money.  They are also recommending having both the City of Plymouth and Marshall County completing applications on the project. 

Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss the 2022 budget with the council and Chris Keslin from Lachesis will present a cyber security program.  The Council will hear the request of EMA Director Clyde Avery to apply for the 2021 EMPG Salary reimbursement grant and Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will present the bids for the Community Crossing Projects and the additional paving projects.  He will be seeking a small additional for the Community Crossings projects and all the funds for the additional paving projects. 

County Council members will also consider additional, reduction and transfer requests along with the Compliance Forms for the tax abatements for Homestead Dairy and Houin Farms.  Also on their agenda is a resolution creating a policy for electronic meetings and an addendum to the ordinance adopting job descriptions.
