Plymouth Speedway opens its dirt track season Saturday, May 1.

It was a long year last year and fans are waiting to get out and enjoy racing.

Five classes of racing will be featured every Saturday night this season with Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, and Non-Wing 600 Sprints.

Crews worked during the off season to work in some new clay on the racing surface and worked on both tracks to make racing more competitive.

More excitement is planned Saturday, May 8 with a regular show, and then Saturday, May 15 will be the UMP Modified Klotz/Cometic Modified Klash with $340 to start and $5,000 to win!

Fans are welcome to come early and see how the season starts with the Cabin Fever event this Saturday, May 1st at the Playground of Power.  Pits open at 3 p.m. and grandstands open at 4 p.m., hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m.

Plymouth Speedway features a three-eighths (0.375) mile banked dirt oval. Five different classes of racing are featured: UMP Modifieds, Non-Wing 600 Sprints, Thunder Stocks, Super Streets, and Front Wheel Drives.
