Local News 2017Last Monday, Marshall County Recorder Janet Howard presented the County Commissioners with a contract from Fidlar Technologies for a document scanning project.  The contract is for $7,422.37 and will be paid with the Recorder’s Perpetuation Fund to restore historical documents.

The project will include scanning four cemetery deed books from 1925 to 1969, eight will books from 1892 to 1969 and three tax title deed books from 1874 to 1963. Included is enhancements of the images and the book and page location index.

It was estimated that the project would only take one day.  Howard said the project may take longer than their regular 8 to 4 day and Fidlar Technologies plans to stay in the building after hours if necessary, to finish the project in one day.

The Marshall County Commissioners approved the contract.
