County BuildingMembers of the Marshall County Council will meet this morning, Monday, April 12 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building at 9 A.M.

The agenda for the meeting includes the quarterly update from Linda Rippy Executive Director of the Marshall County Museum.  Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss the Jail Chemical Addiction Program (JCAP), the Marine Patrol Assistance Grant and the (CHIRP) Comprehensive Hoosier Highway’s Injury Reduction ProgramGrant for 2022.

County Plan Director Ty Adley will present Council Members with the 2020 Annual Report for the Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.  Also on the agenda is Commissioner Kevin Overmyer who will be seeking and additional $500,000 for the Courthouse Tower Restoration Project.

Council members will also consider additional and transfer requests two salary ordinance amendments for the Health Department and Probation Department.  They are expected to establish a fund for the County Park and Recreation Department.

Following the council meeting will be a joint meeting of the Council and Commissioners to discuss the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, in which the county will receive more that $8.9 million.
