The Marshall County Health Department’s Mobile Medical Unit was out last week conducting a test run. They took COVID-19 vaccine to the Marshall County Jail and vaccinated employees.
The County Health Department is currently working on a calendar for the mobile medical unit. They will be scheduling visits around the county and the information will be available on their new website which is scheduled to be released in the near future.
Lisa Letsinger, County Health Nurse said, “We currently are working with all the school corporations in the county and will have the mobile unit onsite for Covid 19 vaccinations for school staff during the months of March and April. The mobile medical unit is equipped with pharmacy grade refrigerators and a freezer that will keep the vaccine safe and at the required temperatures prior to administration.”
Future plans include being onsite at all Marshall county schools to update students who have incomplete vaccination records.
Letsinger will be speaking to the Commissioners at their meeting on Monday, March 15th regarding plans and schedules for the Mobile Medical Unit.
