Thursday evening shortly after 8:00 P.M. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Rans responded to a Motorcycle crash involving a deer in the area of Juniper Road north of 14th Road.
According to Deputy Rans news release Allen Chartier of Argos was operating a 2003 Suzuki SV6 Motorcycle traveling north on Juniper Road, north of 14th Road, when several deer entered the roadway.
Mr.Chartier was unable to avoid colliding with the deer. It stated in the news release that Allen Chartier was not wearing a helmet and sustained severe head injuries and a leg injury.
Chartier was transported to Memorial Hospital via Samaritan helicopter.
Nachel Chartier, the passenger of the motorcycle sustained a wrist injury and was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
The Marshall County Sheriff`s Department was assisted at the scene by the Argos Police Department, Argos Fire and EMS, Plymouth Fire and EMS, Samaritan, and Lyon`s Towing.
