On Saturday, February 20th at 5:51 P.M. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Templeman responded to a call of an impaired driver in the area of the 2400 block of US 31.
In the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department press release it stated that 19 year old Antwaan D Neal of South Bend had ran off into the median on US 31 and was found to be Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
Neal was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $1,505 bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
