County snow plowThe Marshall County Highway Department and Emergency Management Director along with the County Commissioners have been monitoring the latest forecast models issued. Based on the uncertainty of, but favorable to late evening heavy snow and early morning heavy snow falls into mid-morning the County Highway Department will head out early.

Along with the heavy snow fall, gusty winds are also going to be a factor as well.  Travel condition MOST LIKELY tomorrow morning will be snow cover and possibly drifting in a lot of areas.

The Marshall County Highway Department will plan to have their full crew start at 4 a.m.  Based on conditions at that time, further information will be posted and passed on for travel status in the county as needed.

Depending on length of the storm and the impact, highway crews will plan to run a 12 hr. shift. Travel conditions for Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning will most likely have snow covered roads, along with some drifting snow possibly.

Please use cautions over the next few days as highway crews will be working to plow and treat roads as needed.

Depending on the severity of the forecasted winter storm, Marshall County Highway Department will most likely schedule an early start time for Wednesday morning too to clean up roads and treat as needed.

Highway Superintendent Peters said, “DRIVE SAFE AND PLAN FOR HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS. ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE.”
