The American Red Cross of Northwest Indiana received funding to assist with home fire relief in Marshall County, which provides direct financial assistance, case work, and recovery planning for victims of home fires. The Red Cross contributes an average of $605 per family for temporary housing, medications, eyeglasses, toiletry items, clothing, and food. Cultivate Culinary School & Catering Inc. received funding to help pay for the transportation costs incurred by bringing rescued food and frozen meals to partnering agencies serving the hungry in Marshall County. Cultivate Food Rescue will bring food that would otherwise go to waste to agencies who are working directly with those in need in Marshall County. Cultivate Food Rescue provides this service at no cost to dozens of agencies in Marshall County.

The Operation Round Up program allows Marshall County REMC members to reach out to worthy causes in their community and work together to help others. Thank you to those members who participate in Operation Round Up and to the Marshall County Community Foundation for making these donations possible. You have helped donate over $150,000 to organizations in the community!
