On December 12th,2020 the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department obtained several reports of thefts from vehicles, in the area of Deer Trail and Pilgrim Meadows Subdivision.
One of the reports was from Matt Tolson who explained that his 2012 Chevrolet Cruze had been stolen from his residence.
On December 6, 2020, in Kouts, Indiana (Porter County, Indiana), person(s) reported suspicious activity of vehicles being broken into. The Kouts Police Department then investigated the complaint. The Kouts Police Department then intiated a Police Pursuit involving the stolen 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.
The Kouts Police Department and Porter County Sheriff`s Department then apprehended three suspects in the area of the Porter County Expo Center, located on State Road 49.
The suspects are believed to be all from the Michigan area. The Marshall County Sheriff`s Department then continued with the investigation of the stolen car (2012 Chevrolet Cruze) and items from various vehicles.
On January 06, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued for 18 year old Michaw A. Harris of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Michaw A. Harris is charged with ten (10) counts of Unauthorized Enrty of Motor Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor, nine (9) counts of Theft, Class A Misdemeanor, and one (1) count of Auto Theft, Level 6 Felony.
On Tuesday, February 2nd Michaw A. Harris was arrested on the warrant. The bond for Michaw A. Harris is $10,000 cash.
