Indiana Code requires the Commissioners to review the emergency declaration every 7 days and determine if they need to extend or rescind it. The commissioners took official action to extend the declaration for 7 more days.
Enacting the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration directs all public offices and employees of Marshall County to exercise the utmost diligence in the discharge of duties for the duration of the emergency. County residents are also directed to comply with necessary emergency measures, to cooperate with public officials and disaster service forces in executing emergency operation plans and to obey and comply with the lawful direction of officers.
This order will be in effect until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd. This is the 15th consecutive week Marshall County has been under the Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration due to COVID-19.
