Plymouth posts bests in final home meet
PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Boys and Girls Swim Teams had their final coed home meet of the season on Thursday against Culver Academies. Culver emerged victorious against the Pilgrims in both the boys (123-50) and girls (123-62) meets, but several best times were witnessed in the pool.
Plymouth girls switched up some events and still had a strong showing, while the boys team continued to drop time in their staple events.
The girls fielded an all senior medley relay team of Raven Gritton, Maggie Bradway, Rachel Jacobs, and Claudia Marohn. They completed the event in this way for the first time this season and their last time swimming a meet at Leanne Senter Pool.
Fitz Holm and Joe Cartwright took home 1st place finishes for the Pilgrims. Holm won the backstroke and broke a minute for the 1st time this season. Cartwright won the breaststroke almost beating his current top time.
Plymouth has one more remaining coed dual meet set for Tippecanoe Valley on Monday. After that, the girls team prepares for sectionals and the boys team heads to the NLC meet.
