The Plymouth School Board appointed Nicole Christy to an open seat to represent West Township at a special meeting on Wednesday, January 20. The seat became vacant when Todd Samuelson, who had held the seat for 24 years, decided not to run again. Board members Melissa Christiansen, Allie Shook, Kurt Christiansen, and Larry Pinkerton interviewed seven applicants for the vacant seat on January 13 and 14.
Before announcing that Christy was chosen, Board President Melissa Christiansen thanked the candidates for their interest.
The only other agenda item for the meeting was to consider permission to advertise-bids for a roofing project. Approval was unanimous.
