Wintry Weather Jan14,2021The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service in North Webster are advising of the potential for a wintry mix beginning after 8 p.m. tonight.

After midnight, the wintry mix will change over to become all snow.  The weather service says snow will continue Friday and snow showers in the afternoon may be strong enough to reduce visibility and create isolated poor driving conditions.

An inch or less of accumulation is forecast.   NO ADVISORIES, WATCHES, or WARNINGS have been issued as of 4 p.m. Thursday.

The wintery mix tonight may create slick spots on road surfaces in some locations.  Strong snow bands tomorrow afternoon may reduce visibility.   Slick and hazardous driving conditions may lead to an increase in slide-offs and accidents.   Drivers are urged to reduce their speed and increase their following distance.  Drivers should be prepared for patchy slick spots on roads especially at intersections, bridges and overpasses.
