Plymouth Color Logo2014Members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety met for the first time Monday evening and set meeting dates and times for 2021.   The Board of Public Works will continue to meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the second floor Council Chambers of City Hall.

Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt presented the 2021 fixed fuel price agreement.  Only one bid was received from Ceres Solutions and the fixed price for this year for gasoline will be $1.97 a gallon while diesel will be $2.23.  In 2020 the city had a fixed price of $2.09 for gasoline and $2.51 for diesel.  Marquardt said the total saving for fuel this year over last will be over $11,000.

Marquardt was also granted approval to solicit bids for a new 10-ton dump truck with snowplow and spreader.  He said the truck is in the budget for 2021 and the process will take most of the spring and into the summer until the city will receive a new truck.
