Marshall County Attorney Jim Clevenger updated the County Commissioners on the process for selecting a judge for Marshall Superior Court III that will open in July.
Governor Holcomb’ office will be accepting applications for the new judge position in February. Clevenger said the process normally takes 90 days. He said there is some concern given the long legislative session and some of the things on their agenda.
The County Attorney said, “The Governor plans to make the appointment well ahead of the July 1st opening date in order to give the new judge time to plan for the new position and to arrange for staff.”
