Police_PursuitOn Wednesday, December 16th at 11:45 P.M. Officer Stamper with the Plymouth Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop on 34 year old Travis Howell of Plymouth.

Mr. Howell refused to stop and lead the Plymouth and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department on a pursuit throughout the southwest side of town.

The pursuit came to an end when Howell crashed into a sign in the 1700 block of Lake Avenue.

Howell was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charges of Operating While Intoxicated and a Felony Resisting Law Enforcement with bond set at $1,505.

 

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
