PLYMOUTH – Plans are set for this year’s 1st Source Bank Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament set for Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Plymouth High School.
Again this year varsity and JV teams from Jimtown, Knox, Whitko, and Plymouth will face off for a title in the one-day event.
As with any gathering host school, Plymouth is asking that all fans adhere to COVID-19 protocols in place.
Only four immediate family members will be allowed to attend games during the tournament.
Players, coaches, and fans will be expected to be masked up at all times when in the high school and will be required to show that they have a mask as they enter the building.
Players will be able to take the mask down while playing. They are also asked to stay on the team bench side of the gymnasium and to not move the individual chairs that have been placed using social distancing.
Fans are also asked to respect and adhere to the seating expectations and practice social distancing.
Plymouth high school has worked hard to adhere to the IHSAA recommendations of having separate gates and restrooms for fans. The school has asked that fans be sure to utilize the designated gate restrooms.
Visitors to Plymouth are asked to use door 8 and the South restrooms. Plymouth fans should use door 5 and 7 along with the East and Northwest restrooms.
The varsity tourney will have:
10:30 a.m. – Plymouth vs. Jimtown
12:15 p.m. – Whitko vs. Knox
6:15 p.m. – Consolation Game (Loser game 1 vs. Loser game 2)
8 p.m. – Championship Game (Winner game 1 vs. Winner game 2)
JV Tourney:
2 p.m. -Plymouth vs. Jimtown (Varsity Gym)
Whitko vs. Knox (Auxiliary Gym)
3:30 p.m. Championship Game (Varsity Gym)
Consolation Game (Auxiliary Gym)
At the conclusion of the varsity championship there will be a selection of the all tourney team and MVP.
Gates will open at 9:30 a.m. at door #5 and door #7. Parking will be in the north and east lots.
Admission is $10 for an all-tourney ticket.
