Monday morning shortly after 10:30 A.M. Officer Enyart with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Becknell Drive and Randolph Street.
The driver of the vehicle identified as 24 year old Alec A. Mattke of Walkerton was wanted on an active warrant through Marshall County for Dealing Marijuana with a bond of $755.
During the traffic stop the passenger in the vehicle identified as 29 year old Justin P. Sanders of Bremen was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall county jail where Sanders bond was set at $1,505.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
