Crash investigation_VehicularTuesday morning at 10:24 A.M. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at US 30 & 12B Road in Bourbon.

As Officer Smith arrived on the scene it was indicated on scanner traffic that he had located a female in one of the vehicles that was entrapped but was able to get the door open on the vehicle and was able to get the female out.

After a brief investigation the crash report stated that it was determined that a 2008 Chevrolet HHR driven by 39 year old Daniel Kinsey of Tippecanoe had collided  with a 2015 Nissan Altima driven  by 30 year old, Araceli (Shelly) Ortiz of Plymouth.

The report further stated that it was determined that Kinsey was attempting to cross US 30 to continue south on 12B when he collided with Ortiz who was traveling eastbound.

Both drivers were transported by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

Ortiz was transported with a broken right ankle, right forearm and left hand.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Bourbon Police Department.
