MCEDC Primary LogoMonday evening the Plymouth Common Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) addressing the utility tap-fees for the new Manufacturing Center.

The agreement allows the MCEDC to defer payments for the utility tap-fees until the new facility is occupied and utilities are to be used by the manufacturing center’s end user.

The agreement also states that the MCEDC will construct the storm-water and erosion control measures as approved by the city without having to provide a financial guarantee ordinarily associated with such infrastructure.

The new manufacturing center will be located at the southeast corner of Pioneer and Jim Neu Drives.

The executive order issued by Mayor Mark Senter on November 12th pertained to waiving tap-fees for the manufacturing center the MCEDC is constructing.  The City Council ratified the executive order.  The mayor issued the executive order to keep the project moving forward.
