MCEDC Primary LogoMarshall County EDC (MCEDC) is pleased to announce and welcome Mr. Dax Norton as their new President/CEO. Norton joins MCEDC from ms consultants where he has served as a Municipal Operations/ Economic Development Consultant for the past 2 years.  

Dax comes to MCEDC with nearly 20 years of experience as an economic development and municipal executive leader. Prior to his time at ms consultants, Norton successfully led Indiana’s fastest growing community, the Town of Whitestown, during 5 ½ years of explosive growth.  Norton’s experience includes 5 years directing economic development initiatives for the Boone EDC in Boone County, and shorter tenures at OCRA, Blackford County EDC, and the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a certificate from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute. He is married to his wife Kelly and they have 2 daughters aged 21 and 16.  

“We conducted a national search for our President/CEO position and were impressed by the leadership qualities that Dax will bring to his new role in Marshall County,” stated Bill Davis MCEDC Chair. 

“I am humbled and excited to be given this opportunity to assist community leaders as they turn economic and community development vision into sustainable reality,” stated Norton.  

“I know that Dax and his family have taken the time to visit Marshall County and they are excited to relocate to our welcoming community with so many positive economic and community development projects and quality of life initiatives currently underway,” said Davis. Mr. Norton will begin his transition to Marshall County in the next few weeks and join the MCEDC team toward the end of December 2020.
