Marshall County Health Department logoMarshall County Public Health Nurse, Lisa Letsinger and County Environmental Health Specialist in the Food Division, Dean Smidlapp didn’t just get complaints about shoppers at Walmart not wearing masks on Monday, they received complaints about six local businesses.

Letsinger said they conducted investigations and gave out three verbal warnings.  She went on to say they had received seven more complaints on Tuesday morning that they will be working on.

While Walmart told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety that they were not aware of the mandate, Letsinger said she knew that the local medias had posted the new mandate on Friday and over the weekend.   She also said it was posted on the Marshall County Health Department facebook page and the Mayor also had the new ordinance on his FB page.

Letsinger commented that Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-48 has also been implemented for some time and businesses should have been aware of the request for all to mask up.

County Health Officer Doctor Byron Holm and Letsinger have also been on the radio and alluded to the upcoming changes.

The Marshall County Health Department will continue to work through the complaints daily.
