The Marshall County Board of Health unanimously supports Dr. Byron Holm’s business mask ordinance, and strongly encourages all Marshall County residents to protect one another through proper mask wearing. Science clearly demonstrates that proper mask wearing significantly reduces transmission of the COVID-19 virus. This is evident in Asian countries where proper mask use in public is universal. We are rapidly approaching a time in our area where patients will be turned away from hospitals for lack of beds and staff to care for them. The Board of Health discourages holiday gatherings beyond your immediate family this year due to this evolving crisis. Thank you for caring about your vulnerable family and neighbors.
