On Wednesday, November 18th at 12:47 A.M. Marshall County Police were dispatched to 7719 Redwood Road, Jelly Stone Camp Ground in reference to a suspicious vehicle sitting at the front gate. Upon arrival Deputy Wozniak located a gray, 2014 Dodge Charger. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 34 year old, Marcos A. Wheeler of Fort Wayne.
During the investigation, the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Wheeler was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charges of Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangering.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
