NewsCommunity leaders across the county are being called to action by the Marshall County Health Department and local hospital administrative teams.

Learn more Monday at the Community Table meeting.  This special session will begin at 10:30 am.

Those participating will hear critical COVID-19 updates for Marshall County from: Dr. Byron Holm the Marshall County Health Officer, Chad Towner, CEO, Saint Joseph Health Systems and Eric Holsopple, Hospital Administrator of the Plymouth Campus of Saint Joseph Health Systems

Beginning Monday, November 15, Governor Holcomb is putting new restrictions in place that will be done by the counties. Counties that are in orange will be limited to gatherings of 50 or less. Counties in red will be limited to 25 or less and masks will be required for 30 days.

Every county in the state is either orange or red. Marshall County is currently orange and will likely be red in a week. Wednesday, in one day, there were over 800 new active cases in Marshall, Elkhart and Saint Joseph Counties. Based on high hospitalization rates for this region already that will likely result in the need for more than 100 more beds two weeks from now. Our healthcare system is already burdened and citizens need to take personal responsibility.

This meeting is for leaders in business world, industry relm, and faith based communities.
